Books I Read in March, Part 2
Check out Part 1 of the books I read in March!
China Rich Girlfriend by Kevin Kwan. 4/5
China Rich Girlfriend is not a chick lit book I'd typically go for or stick with. The privileged characters can be messy, flawed, selfish, and annoying. But there's something about Kwan's stories that pull me in. I can't wait to get my hands on the third and final book in this trilogy.
Bottle Grove by Daniel Handler. 2/5**
I'd never read Daniel Handler's work before (aka Lemony Snicket) so I was excited to try this. I'd usually enjoy a dark comedy about relationships, but I couldn't relate to or sympathize with any of the characters. Eventually the disjointed flow and unlikeable characters made me lose all interest.

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. 5/5
This book lived up to the hype. Another Reese Witherspoon book club pick that will be adapted into a TV series, Daisy Jones outlines the rise and fall of a huge classic rock band in the 70s. Fleetwood Mac reportedly influenced Reid's story a lot. This was my second 5 star rating in March and I highly recommend it.
The Behavior of Love by Virginia Reeves. 3.5/5**
This is a provocative, tragic novel about a doctor torn between the love he has for his wife and love for a brilliant young patient. The Behavior of Love is a dark, melancholy book with flawed characters. Normally I know how I feel about a book after I finish reading it, but this took a few days to process.

The Killer in Me by Olivia Kiernan. 4/5**
Detective Frankie Sheehan must deal with brutal murders in a small Irish suburb, plus a dangerous past that refuses to stay buried. The Killer in Me is a sequel to Kiernan's first book Too Close to Breathe, but I was still able to enjoy the story without having read that one. It's an exciting detective thriller/police procedural with some satisfying twists.
